PhonicsPro ("we," "us," "our") is a product of Innolife Technologies LLC. We are committed to protecting the privacy of everyone who uses our platform — especially students. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and the rights you have over your information.

PhonicsPro is designed to be privacy-first. We do not sell student data. We do not advertise to students. We do not use student practice data to train our own AI models. Our underlying hosting platform's data-use terms are being confirmed and will be disclosed here once verified.

2. Information We Collect

Teacher, Parent & Homeschool Educator Accounts

• Name, email address, and account credentials
• School or organization name, where applicable (not required for homeschool/independent educators)
• Platform usage data (classes and students created, lessons assigned, reports viewed)

Student Accounts

• A display name (typically a first name only) and username, set by the enrolling teacher or parent
• A class code linking the student to their teacher's or parent's account
• Practice activity: word-reading, spelling, phonemic-awareness, and fluency responses
• Diagnostic and progress records generated from that activity

Student account creation does not require a student's legal name, date of birth, email address, phone number, photo, or location data. Students log in with a username, password, and their class or family's join code — not an email address.

3. How We Use Information

• To provide and operate the PhonicsPro platform
• To generate spoken audio for practice items and diagnostic feedback
• To generate progress and mastery reports for teachers and parents
• To improve the accuracy and reliability of the Platform
• To communicate service updates and support

We never use student data for advertising, behavioral profiling, or AI model training.

4. Student Privacy

PhonicsPro is designed with student safety as a core requirement:

• Students cannot independently create accounts
• Student accounts are created by a teacher or by a parent/homeschool educator
• Student data is never sold or shared with third-party advertisers
• Student activity is only visible to the specific teacher or parent who owns that student's account
• An account cannot see another teacher's or parent's students

5. COPPA Compliance

PhonicsPro does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without appropriate parental or school consent. Student accounts are created and controlled by a teacher or a parent/guardian, who is responsible for that consent. We comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).

6. FERPA Alignment

For school-managed accounts, PhonicsPro operates as a "school official" under FERPA, meaning we use education records only for the purpose of providing the service. Homeschool and independent-educator accounts (including those funded through an Education Savings Account or similar program) are not school records in the FERPA sense, and are handled under this Privacy Policy and applicable state law instead. 7. Data Sharing

We do not sell your data. We may share data with:

• Service providers: vendors who help us operate the Platform (hosting, audio generation, email delivery) under data processing terms
• Legal requirements: when required by law, court order, or to protect the rights or safety of our users

Service providers are prohibited from using your data for any purpose other than providing services to PhonicsPro.

8. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain account data as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time. Teachers and parent/educator accounts can archive or remove individual student accounts from within the Platform. Student data is deleted within 30 days of a deletion request.

9. Security

We use encrypted data transmission (TLS), hashed and salted passwords, access controls, and account-level data scoping so that one teacher's or parent's students are never visible to another account. No system is 100% secure, but we are committed to protecting your data and to correcting any weakness we find.

10. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your data. To exercise these rights, contact us at support@phonicspro.com.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notice. Continued use after notice constitutes acceptance.
